Gallery: LVCC Middlesex v Warwickshire, Lord’s, Day 4

With beautiful weather and an interesting match poised on the final day, I decided to head down to Lord’s again for the Middlesex v Warwickshire four day game. Gorgeous sunshine, however a strong breeze proved it necessary to wear two hoodies to stay warm. It’s June, who’d have thunk it?

Gallery: Tring Park CC v Lord’s Taverners, Tring Park Cricket Club

On Bank Holiday Monday, I went over to Tring to photograph a charity match for the Lord’s Taverners v Tring Park CC. What a lovely day! Very friendly club, wonderful atmosphere and great attendance, despite an exciting conclusion to the test match in London, people still flocked to the ground. I love working with the Taverners and can’t wait to work with them again!

New Season 2015

With the new cricket season just a few weeks away, it’s time to fire up the social medias once again. Hello! Welcome back!

A few bits of house keeping. If you hadn’t already heard, I now have a Facebook page. Go ahead and like the page if you….like. I’ll be updating it as often as here.

Also, a new project for me this year, I’m starting a video diary of my cricket based travels around the country. I’m not really sure what form its going to take, but I plan on filming the first episode this Thursday at a Middlesex warm up match. I’ll take a blanket with me.

As always, the camera will be with me and photos will be here as soon as I can. See you soon, it should be an exciting year.

English Cricket Season 2014

Another year is over, and another cricket season ended a few months ago. I quite enjoyed it, but like always it went far too quickly.

A few quick words of thanks. I have had several opportunities this summer to photograph on behalf of the Lord’s Taverners, and I am eternally grateful for their support and the work I’ve done for them, including the Women’s test at Wormsley and a Lady Taverners match back in July.

Next year looks set to be even better. I can’t wait.

We’re back to red ball cricket for the penultimate home match of the season for Middlesex. Opponets Warwickshire were put in to bat by Middlesex winning the toss, and a day of cricket in the sunshine lay ahead. Enjoyable day, including the unexpected appearance of the London Air Ambulance helicopter¬†on the Nursery Ground during tea.

Middlesex are at home to Durham next week, followed by away trips to Somerset and Manchester before the end of the season in a months time. Where has the time gone?

Gallery: England Women v India Women, Only Test, Wormsley Day 2

Apologies for this post going up late, had a busy weekend.

Back to Wormsley for the second day of the Women’s test. A few hours of the afternoon were taken up by a collosal rainstorm, the effects of which are featured in the gallery below, but the other highlight of the day have to be Jenny Gunn’s 5-19. Magnificent stuff. Enjoy.

Gallery: England Women v India Women, Only Test, Wormsley Day 1

The England women have returned to play another test match at Wormsley this year. An interesting day all round. India’s women, who haven’t played a test match since 2006, fielded 8 debutants and England just two. Of the 16 wickets that fell, 10 were lbw.

I’m returning to the match for day 2. I wonder what will happen…
