Gallery: LVCC Middlesex v Somerset, Day 2, Lord’s

If you were a paying punter at Lord's today, and parted with £16 of cold hard cash to get in, the 14 wickets that fell today would have been worth your money. Middlesex threw every bowling option at Somerset in the morning session to not much success, Chawla reached his century with a huge 6 into the Mound Stand hospitality suite, and the visitors were eventually out for 449 just after lunch. An almighty batting collapse followed, and looked like doing so again when we were asked to follow on after slumping to 106 all out. Middlesex are 52-2 overnight, and sadly my real job beckons so I will not be able to return tomorrow. Some sense of normality to be restored? Let's hope so. Both these and yesterdays photos were taking using a Canon 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 on hire from LensesForHire.co.uk (on my Canon 500D body), and I could not recommend the lens and the company highly enough. Dead easy online ordering and delivery service from LFH, and the quality of the lens is a massive step up from what I usually use. I'm quite sad about having to return it tomorrow, but I anticipate living frugally over the winter in order to buy one for myself...
