Apologies for this post going up late, had a busy weekend.

Back to Wormsley for the second day of the Women’s test. A few hours of the afternoon were taken up by a collosal rainstorm, the effects of which are featured in the gallery below, but the other highlight of the day have to be Jenny Gunn’s 5-19. Magnificent stuff. Enjoy.

The England women have returned to play another test match at Wormsley this year. An interesting day all round. India’s women, who haven’t played a test match since 2006, fielded 8 debutants and England just two. Of the 16 wickets that fell, 10 were lbw.

I was asked to come along to Wormsley to take some photos of a Lady Taverners game against the England Women. What an opportunity, and what a lovely day. Gallery: England Women v Australia Women, Only Test Day 1, Wormsley

A match I had been looking forward to for quite a while, the only test in the Ashes series between England and Australia’s women’s teams. The test started today at Wormsley Cricket Ground in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside. The ground is not far from where I live, and the good weather was too good an opportunity to waste sitting indoors watching the men’s test from Durham. Sunshine, excellent cricket and really pleasing to see so many people turn out to watch the England ladies play.
