First visit to the Oval of the season. It’s nice to be back, many thanks to Jason, Yvonne, Becci and Chris for the company. Highlight of the day was definitely the Ravi Bopara run out of Rory Burns, and three of us getting horribly confused when Tremlett walked out to bat and we mistook him for Dernbach. You had to be there, I think. Enjoy!

The first of this years quarter finals in the Twenty20 competition. Surrey v Somerset at the Oval. Personally, a little disappointed that Middlesex didn’t make it through to this stage, but Somerset put up a fight (literally).

I have been extremely lucky with tickets this week, picking up a spare ticket with a group of friends to the first of two Twenty20s between England and New Zealand at the Oval this week. Another ticket has been procured for the second and final game on Thursday.
Another thoroughly enjoyable evening watching cricket at such a lovely ground, and a small appearance on the television coverage in the early stages of the game when a boundary ball from Brendon McCullum came flying towards our seats.
Round two on Thursday.
